Issues

CLEAN & SAFE

For PWSD customers, water comes from several sources. Parker Water uses advanced water treatment methods to ensure that we have clean and safe drinking water and that wastewater meets all specifications. I will work to ensure that water safety and security remain our first priorities.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

PWSD is a taxpayer-funded public utility. As a board member, I will work to protect taxpayers and to maintain balanced rates for customers that cover costs while rewarding conservation. The district must remain on sound financial footing while ensuring that there are solid plans for our financial future.

PARTNERSHIPS & THE FUTURE

Colorado's semi arid climate requires innovation to make water supplies sustainable over the long term. Much of the Denver metro area is working to get off of unsustainable groundwater aquifer and onto renewable surface water resources. PWSD is a member of the WISE partnership with regional water providers, and is also building the long-term Platte Valley Water Partnership. These are key to securing water for decades to come.

TRANSPARENCY

PWSD is working toward greater transparency, such as recent efforts to live stream board meetings, and to increase public engagement. I will work with other board members and staff to keep our citizens informed of the district’s important work and to make sure that you have a voice in the future of Parker Water.
